When it comes to a war with the U.S. how well would Beijing be able to use all that stuff? The real question seems pretty simple: yes, China is certainly developing all the military and technology goodies to field a potent force. However, how well can it operate all that equipment in the pressure filled situation of a war? Sure, Beijing is certainly developing a world-class military, but can its soldiers operate all that equipment competently? Just how well trained are they? You can have the best military in the world but if you don’t know how to use it, well, you get the idea.
Let’s not mince words: a U.S.-China war would be hell on earth. It would likely start World War III. Millions— maybe billions— of people would die if nuclear weapons were ever used in such a conflict. The global economy would likely face ruin— that’s what happens when the world’s biggest economic powers start shooting at each other. Thankfully the chances are remote it will ever happen. Yet, the threat of such a conflict remains thanks to the many different pressure points in the U.S.-China relationship. Forget the challenge of ISIS, Ukraine, Syria or whatever the flavor of the moment is. The U.S.-China relationship— and whether it remains peaceful or not— is the most important challenge of our time. WNU editor: The Chinese may be defeated today (if nuclear weapons are not used) .... but if one looks 20 or 30 years from now .... that environment will be very different.

Maybe, wnu. In 20 years China will struggle satisfying their aging populations needs and slower economy. Healthcare cost will throttle them, just as in the US. Plus, I've been hearing the Chinese bandwagon saga for nearly 30 years now. Seems another 30 years are required for 1.5bn people to do what 300 million Americans have done easily it seems. Ah well, they'll surely figure it out, if they don't make so many enemies on the way as they have by now.. all the copying, all the theft, all the state centralised machinery and still not there... how do you spell 'pathetic'? ;-)
They won't team up. Russia threatened to nuke-wipe China of the map a few decades back. The US protected China. Google it
The way China can win is by gaining experience in war not just drills, to gain that experience first they need to lose a,major conflict.
It really is catch 22, no combat experience on sea, land or ground for a generation, simulations will only get you so far.
Recently they had games where they fought a side using u.s tactics, they (team China) got destroyed.
